KSU Wesley

Whether you're new to campus or just new to Wesley, we're so excited that you're here! We're a Christ-centered, Biblically-based campus ministry of the United Methodist Church, and we exist to create a home for the students of KSU. We love to see community built among the body of Christ, and we've got a bunch of different ways for you to get involved. Keep scrolling to learn more!

Wednesday Night Worship

We're big believers in the benefit of worshiping together. And on Wednesday nights at 8, we do just that! We gather together for worship and a teaching each week in the Leadership Room inside the Student Center. Wednesday nights are the best way to see what we're all about, so come out and get to know us a little bit better. Plus, every now and then we'll have special speakers, holiday parties, birthday cakes and more!

Small Groups

As much as we believe in the power of corporate worship, we also know that it's hard to get to know someone in the middle of a worship song or a teaching. That's where small groups come in! We have a number of small groups throughout the week that you can join depending on what you're looking for - there are groups for girls, guys, upperclassmen and freshmen. Events & Retreats

Do you enjoy familiar games with unfamiliar twists? Weekends at lake houses with all of your friends? Spending your spring break roofing a house? What about Christmas parties with live market economies? Well we do those! Whether it's just a cookout or a service project, a mission trip or a full-blown retreat, we love to get together and have fun.

Our Crew

Evan DeYoung

Executive Director

Evan is a graduate of the University of Georgia where he served on staff at the Wesley Foundation and where he met his wife Holly. He was the associate youth minister at St James United Methodist Church throughout his time in Athens and is passionate about connecting Wesley Foundations with the local church community. After serving as a director at the University of Alabama Wesley Foundation in Tuscaloosa, he began to feel a call back to the Atlanta area to continue his work in campus ministry. That call was met with the opportunity at the Kennesaw State Wesley Foundation where he currently serves as Director.

Evan is driven by the opportunity that exists on campus for ministry to the staff and students at Kennesaw State. Believing that the relationships and experiences in one's college years can shape the rest of our lives, he seeks to help those on campus come to know the love of Christ.

Jessica Smith

Development Director

Jessica  is from Lawrenceville, Georgia, and is a graduate of the University of Georgia where she double-majored in History and English, with a minor in German. She served for 5 years at the UGA Wesley Foundation (3 as an Intern, 2 as an Associate Director) overseeing international student ministry and missions before coming to Kennesaw in 2015.

She oversees the small group ministry, as well as managing the day-to-day financials of the organization. She is passionate about helping students build healthier relationships in community, seeing students grow into their potential in the Lord, and connecting with the international community.

Nick Smith

Creative Director

Nick is originally from Macon, Georgia and a graduate of the University of Georgia where he majored in Advertising. After serving on staff at the Wesley Foundation at UGA, Nick felt called to continue the use of his talents and experience in a Campus Ministry context. He serves as the Creative Director at the Kennesaw State  University Wesley Foundation overseeing digital and print media as well as spearheading the ministry's investment in the creative future of the church.

Nick is passionate about excellence in art, media, and how the church presents itself to the world. He enjoys helping others activate their talents and callings and believes that our creativity is one of the gifts that the Lord has given us to develop and understand Him further.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors for the Wesley Foundation is comprised of a mix of local members of the community, Kennesaw State University staff, and local United Methodist clergy. They oversee the operations and vision for the Wesley Foundation and provide support for the staff and students. Our board is a dedicated and valuable resource to the mission of the Wesley Foundation on campus.
